The main focus of the QND website this year is capitalizing on the social media and engaging the visitors on all the QND online presence, including the website, Facebook, Flickr, YouTube and Twitter. The state’s national day website is a social hub that integrates with the different social media platforms making sure that all information is synchronized between the website and social media with minimal management effort as possible. QND website is built and managed using Microsoft SharePoint 2010 to take advantage of the platform’s rich features and management capabilities that are enriching the experience of both users and website management. Microsoft SharePoint simplifies the collaboration and website content management. LINK Development further extended Microsoft SharePoint to integrate with the different social media platforms to allow QND administrators to also manage their social media presence using the same management platform simplifying and enhancing the overall experience for the management and visitors. Using these extended features, QND benefits by having a seamless experience for its visitors across all points of presence, website and social media, increasing both visitors’ traffic and time spent on the website.

The website focuses on interacting and engaging children and youth to align them with the vision of Qatar 2030. The children’s section highlights the importance of the Dream 2030: the future of Qatar and how the children of Qatar are going to achieve it. To compliment this vision, LINK Development has also developed a highly visual flash website, which showcases the vision of Dream 2030 as released by the State National Day Celebration Organizing Committee during the National Day events, with the objective of having the children interact with the Dream 2030 vision and message over time through different online engaging activities.
